Alpha Recovery is the Northeast's largest car and commercial recovery operator. Established over the last 35 years, with a large fleet of diverse vehicles capable of handling any situation or vehicle, no two days are the same in this fast-paced environment.
Due to further expansion, we are looking to employ additional control room operators to join our busy team. You will be expected to support a working environment that encourages teamwork, and have pride in your work.
In this role, you must have the ability to think fast on your feet and make quick concise decisions. You will be responsible for handling calls from emergency services and customers. During this, you will ensure incidents/emergencies are dealt with swiftly and the correct course of action has been taken.
You will have to show elements of strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and sound communication skills.
Duties will include liaising with drivers and customers via telephone, email or in person, also may include filing, handling of property, money, invoicing and data input.
In addition to this predominantly office-based role there could be scope for outside work, vehicle appraisals and moving them to and from storage.
As our operation is a 24/7 365 days a year there may be a need to work shifts and weekends.
We are looking for somebody with the following qualities
*** Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office) ***
Apex knowledge preferred but training given
Enthusiastic and keen to learn and adapt
Good communication skills
Good organisation and planning ability
Good numerical skills
Must be able to obtain a clear Criminal Conviction Certificate and pass Police Force Vetting Checks
A Full current UK driving Licence
A transportation or motor vehicle back ground as well as strong geographical knowledge is also desirable, but not essential.
