Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure excellent standards of care
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Administering medication as per medical records
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, health updates, and incident reports using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful conversations and activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment
Skills
- Proven experience in senior or elderly care within a care home setting
- Strong supervising and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties or errands outside the home
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards in a care environment
