The Role
We're looking for a Senior Operations Administrator to become a key member of our Operations Team.
This isn't a role for someone who likes a quiet desk and a predictable day. Our business moves quickly, priorities can change at short notice, and you'll be at the centre of keeping everything running smoothly.
You'll need to be highly organised, able to think on your feet, make sensible decisions, and remain calm under pressure. We need someone with strong common sense, a logical approach to problem-solving, and the confidence to take ownership of tasks rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the Operations Department
- Coordinating jobs, schedules and resources
- Liaising with engineers, customers and suppliers
- Managing operational documentation and records
- Monitoring work progress and ensuring deadlines are met
- Resolving issues quickly and escalating where necessary
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate data
- Assisting management with operational planning and administration
- Identifying ways to improve processes and efficiencies
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a senior administrative or operations support role
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Can juggle multiple tasks without losing attention to detail
- Thinks logically and approaches problems with practical solutions
- Uses initiative and takes ownership of their workload
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Remains professional and composed when under pressure
- Is reliable, dedicated and willing to go the extra mile when required
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working within operations, scheduling, logistics, construction, drainage, utilities, engineering or other service-led industries would be highly advantageous.
- Experience within the services industry would be particularly beneficial, as an understanding of reactive works, customer expectations, resource planning and operational delivery will help you hit the ground running.
What You'll Bring
More than qualifications, we're looking for the right attitude. Someone who is proactive, hardworking and capable of becoming a trusted member of the operations team.
If you're the type of person who enjoys being busy, solving problems and making things happen, we'd like to hear from you.
