Sonic Stone fabricates bespoke natural stone, mosaics and composite surfaces for domestic and commercial clients. As an established and growing business, we're expanding our factory and production area and are looking for an experienced Sawyer / CNC / Waterjet Stone Machine Operator to join our team.

What You'll Do
- Operate bridge saws, CNC and Waterjet machinery cutting marble, granite, onyx, quartzite and composite stone
- Prepare, edit and work from CNC cutting programs
- Work from technical drawings, cutting sheets and templates
- Use AutoCAD and CNC/CAD-CAM software to prepare or amend production drawings and programs
- Carry out visual and dimensional quality checks on finished pieces
- Check measurements, cut-outs, profiles and finished components against drawings
- Plan and carry out accurate slab cutting
- Keep machinery and work areas clean and well maintained
- Work to production deadlines as part of a small, hands-on team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Stone Sawyer / CNC / Waterjet Operator
- Previous experience within the natural stone industry
- CNC programming experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience with EasySTONE / DDX or similar CNC programming software preferred
- Comfortable reading technical drawings, cut sheets and templates
- Good understanding of natural stone fabrication
- Good understanding of measurements and tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finish quality
- Reliable team player with good communication skills
Experience operating Denver or Donatoni machinery would be a strong advantage.
