Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Self Employed Gardener to bring vibrant, healthy landscapes to life. Duties
- Use hand tools and power tools to prune, trim, plant, and maintain gardens and landscaped areas efficiently and safely
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching to keep outdoor spaces pristine
- Apply horticultural practices to support plant growth, including fertilizing, soil preparation, and pest control
- Manage groundskeeping tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor environments
- Assess garden conditions and recommend improvements or new planting ideas based on growing experience and horticultural knowledge
- Communicate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on landscape design and upkeep
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shears, shovels, rakes, and pruners for precise gardening work
- Ability to operate power tools safely for tasks like lawn mowing, hedge trimming, and soil aeration
- Extensive growing experience with various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees to promote healthy growth
- Strong knowledge of gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance practices
- Skilled in groundskeeping duties that maintain the overall appearance of outdoor spaces
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients about project scope and maintenance needs
