The Role
To lead Information Governance, Data Protection, and Privacy across Livity Life, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and promoting best practice.
As our specialist lead, you will provide expert advice on data protection, information sharing, privacy, and regulatory compliance, supporting the safe and effective use of information while enabling innovation and high-quality service delivery across our health, social care, and technology-enabled care services.
This is a remote role within the UK, with the requirement to travel to Worcester 2/3 times per month
As our Data Protection & Information Governance Lead, main duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead the organisation's approach to data protection, privacy, and information governance.
- Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and related legislation.
- Provide expert advice to leaders and teams on information governance and data-sharing matters.
- Support organisational change projects by embedding privacy and risk management principles.
- Oversee information rights requests, data sharing agreements, and data protection impact assessments.
- Advise on emerging technologies, including AI, and their governance implications.
- Support the management of information security incidents and engagement with regulatory bodies..
- You will also be expected to carry out any other duties that your Manager feels are within your capabilities and skill set. The above information may not cover everything involved in the position but indicates the size and scope of the role and may be subject to change as the role develops.
- Experience in a Data Protection, Information Governance, Privacy, or DPO role.
- Strong understanding of UK GDPR and data protection compliance.
- Experience carrying out DPIAs and managing information governance processes.
- Experience advising stakeholders on data sharing, privacy, and information risk.
- Experience managing data breaches and information security incidents.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally healthcare, social care, or the public sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice on complex regulatory matters.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of information governance best practice and emerging technologies, including AI.
- Professional, collaborative, and able to manage competing priorities.
Essential

Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Ongoing professional development in Data Protection, Information Governance, or Privacy.
Desirable
-
CIPP/E, CIPM, BCS Data Protection Practitioner, PDP Practitioner, or ISO 27001 qualification
