The Role
As Golf Club Manager, you will be responsible for effective running of the Club, overseeing operations, staff, finances, member services, facilities and commercial activities.
You will have a visible presence within the Club, building strong relationships with members and staff while ensuring consistently high standards of service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the Club and clubhouse.
- Leading, supporting and developing Club staff.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with members, visitors and golfing societies.
- Managing budgets, expenditure and financial performance.
- Identifying opportunities to increase income and develop the Club commercially.
- Supporting membership recruitment, retention and engagement.
- Working with the Head Greenkeeper to support the continued development of the course and facilities.
- Overseeing clubhouse maintenance, contractors, health and safety and compliance.
- Supporting the committees with reports, information and operational advice.
- Promoting the Club within the local community and supporting marketing and events.
- Manage contracted services i.e. Golf Professional and Catering to ensure optimum member and visitor experience.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong management and interpersonal skills who is comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
You will ideally have experience in golf, hospitality, leisure, sport or another membership-based organisation, although we will consider candidates with strong transferable management experience.
