Overview
We are seeking a Planning Team Leader to ensure customer delivery requirements are understood, accurately captured in the ERP system, and translated into plans that meet customer expectations. You will co-ordinate the delivery and launch of materials to the Production Department, working closely with both the Planning and Production teams to ensure daily Syteline 10 tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner. In addition, you will support the business in achieving and maintaining its On Time In Full (OTIF) targets.
Responsibilities
- Review order intake, ensuring orders are entered into the plan in the correct position
- Resolve any APS exceptions
- Formulate production plans to achieve customer due dates and achieve company OTIF targets
- Level load demand based on available capacity, labour, product mix, and group product to make efficiency gains
- Communicate directly with customers/sales companies and present delivery plans/updates
- Maintain system model and flex capacity as required to reflect current capacity
- Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks
- Advise Management team of actions required to address capacity shortfalls
- Change and improve model, resource groups, efficiencies, etc. to improve planning effectiveness
- Conduct 'what if' scenario planning to evaluate impact of projects or other changes to the plan
- Calculate reference lead times for all machines
- Be a local expert in ERP system and planning processes
- Any other adhoc duties as and when required
Preferred Skill & Experience
- Good knowledge of Excel and an understanding of a manufacturing environment
- Detailed understanding of ASP and how it operates
- Product and Industry Knowledge
- The ability to work on your own initiative and develop the role
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment or similar
Essential Skill & Experience
- Capability to maintain high levels of data accuracy within Syteline 10
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- A good understanding of the wider business environment (sales, marketing and customers)
- Organised and meticulous attention to detail
- Analytical with the ability to manage complex data
- Good IT Skills and knowledge of packages
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems Infor or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 2 Manufacturing Production and Operations
Essential Qualifications
- Standard Grade or National Maths and English

Pay: £43,095.00-£50,000.00 per year
