Chy An Towans – Support Worker

Job description

Chy An Towans is a small family run care home for adults that have learning disabilities, autism and may have behaviours that can challenge. We seek to provide excellent support for the people that live at Chy an Towans, enabling people to live as meaningful a life as possible.

As a support worker we want you to discover a really rewarding role, using your life skills and experiences , hobbies and interests when supporting people. The great people living at Chy an Towans may need assistance with personal care along with all aspects of their life.

About you.

You not need experience, we are supporting people of various abilities and needs, we will support you to get to know people and understand how they wish or need to be supported. You will need effective communication skills be respectful of people’s differences and have a flexible, positive and patient approach.

The shifts will be agreed on an individual basis depending on the right candidate's availability. . We will be happy to consider anyone that wants Part time/Day shifts/Night shifts/Full time hours. Please contact Jacqui, our manager via indeed for more information on the role and to arrange an interview.

As well as being a rewarding role we recognise that it can be demanding at times and self care is really important therefore, once established in the role and through probation, we pay our staff a wellbeing payment of £30 per month which you can choose to put towards going to the cinema, an evening out or something else of your choosing that will contribute towards your wellbeing. *minimum conditions apply*

We encourage our team to eat their meals with the residents so we provide lunch and evening meals whilst on shift free of charge.

Full induction and ongoing training.
