Full job description

A leading local employer in Melton Mowbray offering permanent job opportunities for talented individuals like you.

Role Outline:

You will be responsible for fabricating doors and windows in a target driven environment.

Working Hours:

Sunday - Thursday, 22:00pm - 06:00am (37.5 hours per week).

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate of £16.51 per hour includes a shift premium of £12.00 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensure that windows and doors are accurately fabricated by choosing appropriate materials, and then cut, shape and finish
Undertake a wide range of manufacturing activities which involves working with window and door components, which may include frames, sashes, glass, glazing, paints, waxes, fitting hardware and assembly
Use a range of hand tools and machinery, which may include mallets, chisels and drill drivers
Use jigs (as required)
Use a tape measure and other measuring equipment (as required)
Ensure that the Company’s high standards and targets are achieved on a daily basis
Adhere to the Company’s safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. This includes using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following procedures for handling materials and operating machinery
Communicate (and where possible, address) any issues that may arise during the fabrication process such as material defects and design challenges

Person Specification:

Good numeracy skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work to reasonable instructions and meet tight deadlines (accurately and quickly)
Confident team player prepared to be flexible to meet both team and shift requirements
Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
