We have secured a new framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water that will last up to eight years, this will see MMB tackle projects across the DCC region covering both clean and wastewater treatment sites, as well as below ground assets, reservoirs and nature-based solutions.
After securing our first framework with DCC at the beginning of AMP6, our presence in Wales has grown significantly, directly employing over 270 colleagues in the country across all roles, from frontline construction to design and management positions.
Engineering is at the very core of what we do. Be it civil, mechanical or electrical, our engineers are based on site and play a practical, hands-on role in the successful delivery of projects. As a Senior Site Engineer, you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.
The role of Senior Site Engineer includes:

Providing strategic engineeringexpertiseacross the frameworkto ensureaconsistent approach

Ensuring standard company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations as per the test and inspection, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors

Site Management and carrying out ‘as built’ surveys on completed works

Assist the Site manager in theinitialset-up, ensuring company systems and procedures are in place and implemented; supporting the Site Manager inmaintainingand enforcing safety standards throughout the project;supportingthe site team in planning and monitoring output

Financial Control and ensuring company cost systems are kept up to date by logging material deliveries, managing and reviewing plant levels

Assisting the Site manager and Quantity Surveying Department by compiling data to record resourcesutilisedon each activity.

Mentor Apprentices and Graduate Engineers
What you’ll need:
-
CSCS and SSSTS
-
HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
-
Understand civil engineering principles and practices
-
An understanding of methods, materials and technical aspects relevant to the project
-
Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
-
A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
