Full job description

We are looking for an engineer who can work effectively in a complex environment: understand existing systems, improve them carefully, deliver new features, and reduce technical debt without breaking production.

What you will do:

Deliver product features end-to-end.
Work with existing Enji services: understand, extend, and refactor them.
Participate in design sessions with PMs, BAs, and designers: challenge assumptions, propose alternatives, and estimate implementation complexity.
Prototype complex flows in Cursor or v0 before they become formal specifications.
Address technical debt thoughtfully and with clear reasoning.
Review pull requests from other developers, including junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements:

3+ years of commercial software development experience, including 1+ year in AI engineering.
Strong Python skills with production use of FastAPI or Flask, including migrations, testing, and deployments.
Strong Vue 3 skills, including the Composition API, TypeScript, reactivity, and component architecture. React experience alone does not satisfy this requirement, as Vue is the primary frontend framework at Enji and onboarding speed matters.
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including migrations, indexing, and a basic understanding of query plans.
Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose, with the ability to build and run a local stack independently.
Proficiency with Git, including rebase workflows, atomic commits, and meaningful commit messages.
Regular use of AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, or similar tools.
Language proficiency: English at B2–C1 level; Russian at C2 level.

Additional experience we value:

Quasar, which powers the entire frontend stack.
Message buses such as NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams. Enji uses NATS for inter-service communication.
Clean Architecture or similar patterns, including DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
CASL or other authorization systems.
Background job processing with Celery, APScheduler, RQ, or similar tools.
Integrations with services such as Slack, Telegram, Google APIs, Jira, and GitLab webhooks.
LLM integrations. We use UMA, a PM Agent, and a continuously expanding AI functionality layer.
Open-source contributions or well-structured pet projects.
