Full job description

Location: Glasgow

Key Accountabilities:

Lead Business partnering function for finance with operational colleagues
Direct line management of four Management Accountants performing business partner roles for specific operational areas across Retail and Distribution areas, ensuring all team tasks are completed and relevant deadlines are met by the team Driving continuous improvement in team processes
Performing appraisals and on-going PDP for staff development
Review of monthly management accounts from each team member to enable consolidation into top level Operational P&L
Responsible for annual budget model across Retail and Distribution businesses including model preparation and submission at site-by-site level for all customer contracts
Maintenance of live budget model for current year through managing quarterly price amendments on model based on operational drivers and agreed changes with the customer
Liaison with customer to confirm order values for contractual billing, engaging with finance colleagues to ensure all billing raised on time to agreed schedule
Develop customer facing and Operational Reporting pack proformas for total contract performance evolving consolidated P&L reporting provided by finance colleagues
Lead value add and spend control activities across the team including key commercial support for Managed Contracts team, tracking reactive spend/forecasts, develop mechanism for exception reporting of trends across field teams (Parts, Tools, Fleet)
Maintaining monthly control over key balance sheet accounts including Accrued Income, Sundry Debtors and WIP (Reactive Projects) and performing review to audit level standard
Data analysis for ad-hoc queries from field on spend trends across stores and depots, developing opportunities for Power BI reporting
Assistance with ad-hoc/project work as required by Finance Controller
