Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef/aspiring Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible, along with the head for leading food preparation, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation, and maintaining a lively, efficient kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences that delight our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while managing daily kitchen operations with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Duties

Oversee food production and preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Manage food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations
Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely serving of orders and excellent guest service
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient sourcing to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and control food costs effectively
Lead by example in cooking techniques, maintaining high standards of culinary excellence and hospitality

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with a track record of effective team management and leadership
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices/ must hold a level 2 food Hygiene certificate
Excellent skills in food presentation and culinary techniques
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff
A passion for hospitality, serving guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
