Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Linn Moor Campus to carry out housekeeping and related tasks to identified standards so as to contribute towards the delivery of a quality service designed to meet the needs of the service users with the Campus.

The post will be term time only (38 weeks), Monday to Friday. 9.30am - 1.30pm (negotiable)

Main Roles and Responsibilities

Carrying out general housekeeping tasks in the assigned groups as directed to agreed work schedules and agreed standards.
Maintaining preparation and cooking areas, utensils and equipment in a clean condition which satisfies health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
Operating machinery and equipment according to instructions, with particular attention to safety rules.
Using cleaning agents properly according to instructions.
Carrying out any other duties which may be required from time to time provided the tasks are both reasonable and within the post-holders capabilities.

Qualifications/Training/Education:

Essential:

Willingness and ability to undertake additional training as appropriate to the role.

Desirable:

Infection control training
Manual handling training

Key Skills/Aptitudes:

Essential:

Ability to communicate with others
Close attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team or own initiative meeting demands of cleaning schedules
Ability to respond to changing needs as directed by line manager

Other Job Requirements:

Ability to work in an environment with service users who demonstrate challenging behaviour and able to respond effectively to challenging behaviour and use and train in Behaviour Support Strategies (BSS)
