Responsibilities :
- Design and develop responsive website layouts, page structures and user interfaces.
- Create wireframes, prototypes and visual design concepts based on business and user requirements.
- Translate client and business requirements into effective website designs and digital interfaces.
- Develop and maintain web pages using HTML, CSS and relevant web technologies.
- Ensure websites provide consistent functionality and visual presentation across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Review website usability, navigation and accessibility and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Maintain and update existing websites, landing pages and digital platforms.
- Work with software developers, IT consultants and other technical colleagues to integrate web designs with existing systems and applications.
- Test websites for functionality, usability, compatibility and performance and resolve design-related issues.
- Analyse user feedback and website performance to identify opportunities for improving user experience.
- Maintain website content, graphics, layouts and other digital assets in accordance with project requirements.
- Apply appropriate UI/UX principles to improve website accessibility, navigation and engagement.
- Support the design of digital platforms and web-based solutions for clients across different business sectors.
- Ensure web designs comply with agreed technical, branding and accessibility standards.
- Research emerging web design technologies, tools and industry practices and recommend relevant improvements.
- Prepare design documentation and communicate design decisions to clients, management and technical teams.
- Manage multiple web design projects and deliver agreed outputs within project timelines.
Duties
- Implement SEO best practices to optimize website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Design engaging graphics and visuals with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite to enhance user interfaces.
- Manage content updates and website maintenance through content management systems like WordPress and Drupal.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to refine UI/UX designs based on data analysis from Google Analytics and user feedback.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate front-end code with back-end systems using PHP, Python, Node.js, SQL, MySQL, or SharePoint platforms.
- Ensure all web designs are mobile-friendly by applying responsive web design principles using Bootstrap or SCSS/SASS stylesheets.
- Maintain version control using Git or Telerik tools for efficient project management.
- Stay current with industry trends in web design, interaction design, UX/UI best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in digital design, UI/UX design, and front-end development with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including AJAX), and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience working with content management systems including WordPress or Drupal.
- Knowledge of SEO strategies and analytics tools like Google Analytics for data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with responsive web design techniques ensuring optimal performance across devices.
- Ability to write clean code using version control systems such as Git or Telerik.
- Strong understanding of information architecture principles and usability testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, marketers, and stakeholders.
