Full job description

Gallagher Aggregates are seeking for a Masonry Operative to join our team.

As a Masonry Operative you will report to the Masonry Production Manager and assist in the smooth running of the Masonry department and in the production of high-quality bespoke stone masonry products.

Hours of role: This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday 7.00am to 17:30pm / Saturday (when required) 7.00am to 13.00pm

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Undertake Quality control (all walling stone, paving’s, tiles) at all times.
Strict adherence to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and reporting of any incident/accident of any nature to the production supervisor/manager.
Day to day duties making walling stone as required using a hydraulic press machine and hand dressing with tools.
Ensure correct PPE is being worn at all times.
Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to throughout the masonry dept (daily wash downs/clean up’s, concrete slab cleaned/scraped down, saws clear from debris and cleaned).
Maintain machinery and report to Manager any machinery maintenance issues.
Report to Manager any production issues to ensure production is continuous.
Ensure workshop paperwork is completed (saw sheets dated and initialled for when they are completed, pallet tickets, delivery notes).
You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.

Candidates must:

Believe in and uphold our company values.
Construction experience and stonemasonry experience would be beneficial.
Full Training provided.
Work requires individual to be physically fit as it is a manual job.
Excellent communication and team working skills.
A continuous performance improvement mindset.
Right to work in the UK.

Competitive salary dependant on experience.
