The Role
We're seeking an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join our growing team. This varied role combines on-site inspections, service calls, and customer support predominantly within a 50 mile radius of Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out servicing and inspections on specialist off road machinery (Training will be given)
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using technical drawings and schematics
- Conduct preventative maintenance to optimise equipment performance
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support
- Collaborate with our workshop team on maintenance projects
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- 3+ years maintenance/service engineering experience
- Must have experience servicing and maintaining mobile equipment
- Mechanical knowledge with ability to repair machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Must have own basic tool kit
- Full & clean UK driving licence
- Can-do attitude with willingness to work hard as part of our team
Personal Qualities:
- Resourceful problem-solver who can think on their feet
- Would suit someone who has worked on HGV,s, plant, FLT’s etc
- Adaptable team player willing to "roll with the punches"
- Motivated individual with passion for machinery and engineering
- Professional approach when representing the company on-site
