Help build the National Housing Bank

The National Housing Bank (NHB) is a new government-backed financial institution, operating as a subsidiary of Homes England, established to unlock investment and accelerate housing delivery across England.

Job description

We're looking for a Director, Strategic Development to join the NHB Senior Leadership Team and help shape one of the UK's most significant housing finance platforms.

Salary: c. £140,000£150,000 plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to: Chief Investment Officer

You'll lead the development of some of the country's most complex and strategically important housing and regeneration opportunities, working across government, local authorities, investors and delivery partners. Bringing together the NHB's debt, equity and guarantee capabilities, you'll help design innovative investment solutions that unlock housing delivery, attract private capital and support economic growth at scale.

About You

You will be an experienced investment, real estate, regeneration or infrastructure professional with a strong track record of developing complex projects, partnerships or investment propositions. You'll be comfortable operating across the public and private sectors, bringing together stakeholders, navigating complexity and turning strategic priorities into deliverable investment opportunities.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help build a new institution with a clear national mission and play a leading role in shaping future housing and regeneration investment across England.
