Deputy Ward Manager (RMN)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a well-established private mental health hospital in Dewsbury as a Deputy Ward Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse ready to take the next step into leadership, supporting the Ward Manager in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the ward
Lead, motivate and develop a team of nursing staff
Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care
Oversee care planning, risk assessments and clinical documentation
Maintain compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
Act as a role model and provide clinical leadership on shift

Requirements

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC pin
Previous experience in a mental health inpatient setting
Leadership or senior nurse experience (e.g. Charge Nurse / Deputy level preferred)
Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to delivering patient-focused care
