About the role

The GelBottle Inc. is on an exciting growth journey, and we're looking for a Lab Assistant to be part of our vibrant, founder-led company. You'll build practical skills, gain industry knowledge and have the opportunity to grow your career within our laboratory, quality and technical teams.

Please note this job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in our manufacturing lab at Morrich House, 20 Davidson Drive, Invergordon, United Kingdom, IV18 0SA

Your Role:

Prepare, label and organise laboratory samples in line with site procedures.
Carry out routine laboratory checks and support testing following clear instructions.
Support quality checks on raw materials, packaging and finished products.
Record results accurately and report any issues or unexpected results.
Keep the laboratory clean, organised and safe at all times.
Support the calibration, cleaning and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
Monitor laboratory supplies and help keep testing materials stocked.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality and R&D teams to support production and product quality.
Follow health and safety, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Take part in training and development opportunities as you build your laboratory skills and experience.

About you:

We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on existing experience, you'll be excited by the opportunity to develop practical laboratory skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. An interest in science, quality or manufacturing is key, and any previous laboratory or regulated industry experience would be a bonus, but not essential.

You will have:

An interest in science, quality, manufacturing or laboratory work.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Confidence working with numbers, measurements and recording information clearly.
A safe and responsible approach to work.
Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar systems.
GCSEs, A-levels, HNC/HND or similar in a science-related subject, or a keen interest in developing a science-based career.
Previous experience in a laboratory, quality or manufacturing environment is a bonus, but not essential.
Knowledge of GMP, COSHH, laboratory safety or basic laboratory equipment would be advantageous.
