Responsibilities
Parker Aerospace, part of the global Parker Hannifin corporation, is engineering the solutions that are flying today's aircraft and also building systems that the next generation of aircraft will run on. Working with us means belonging to a passionate, dynamic and innovative team, empowered to make a difference now and in the future.
We’re now looking for a Senior CAE Engineer to provide advanced analytical and simulation capability within Parker Aerospace’s Thermal Management Systems team, with a primary focus on heat exchanger technologies. The role will support the design, development, and optimisation of thermal management solutions through the application of CAE methods including finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and 1D/system simulation tools. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in at least one of these disciplines, along with the capability and mindset to apply or develop a strong working knowledge across the others to support integrated, physics-based engineering decisions.
Working primarily across New Product Introduction and R&D programmes, the Senior CAE Engineer will play a key role in evaluating concepts, improving product performance, reducing development risk, and supporting verification activities through robust modelling and simulation. The role may also provide analytical support to sustaining engineering activities, including design improvements, issue resolution, and product lifecycle support. This position requires strong technical judgement, collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, and the ability to translate complex simulation results into clear recommendations that enable innovative, reliable, and competitive aerospace thermal management products.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and apply CAE methods to support the design, analysis, and optimisation of aerospace heat exchangers and thermal management systems.
-
Perform advanced simulation activities using one or more core disciplines, including FEA, CFD, and 1D/system-level modelling.
-
Support New Product Introduction and R&D programmes by evaluating design concepts, predicting performance, and identifying technical risks early in the development cycle.
-
Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing, teams to ensure simulation work supports practical, validated engineering solutions.
-
Interpret simulation results and provide clear technical recommendations to guide design decisions, trade studies, and product improvements.
-
Contribute to verification and validation planning by correlating analytical predictions with test data and operational performance requirements.
Provide CAE support for sustaining engineering activities, including investigation of field issues, product enhancements, and design changes.
