Full job description

Toro U.K. Limited manufacturer of premium Lawnmowers and Turf Equipment. Established in 1946 as Hayter Limited the company has been actively promoting and distributing Garden and Grounds Care machinery for 80 years.

We are currently seeking a Planner to join our busy team here at Toro in Spellbrook.

Major Function of the role

· Progress parts through the factory to ensure production can be made and customers can receive orders on time.

· Ensure accuracy of production stocks by controlling and managing supply of perpetual inventory counts to the Production Stores and the factory.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Creation and release of Production orders

· Technically completing Production orders

· Creation and release of the Spares (Service parts) picklist to the Production Stores.

· Progressing (chasing) of components through the factory.

· Create and release serial numbers that are required for Production.

· Action Engineering change requests when required.

· Create and manage the perpetual inventory (cycle count) requests for the Production Stores and factory.

· Provide cover for the Supervisor III, Operations Logistics in the update of the Parts forecast through Demand Solutions and for perpetual inventory counts in the DC’s.

· Assist and support all aspects of the day to day running of Production Control – provide support for the Supervisor Scheduling and cover for his absence.

Job Dimensions

· Maintain an informal, close professional relationship with other departments. In particular liaise with the factory to give the Sales department estimated delivery dates for machines and parts.

· Attend in person and on line meetings when required.

Job Requirements

Ideally you should have at least 2-3 years plus experience of production Planning in a Manufacturing environment.

Experience of creating production orders in an ERP/MRP system and progressing them through a plant.

Ideally have experience of using SAP

Good Excel skills (ability to use spreadsheets - use VLOOKUP/Formula etc).

Good Numeracy skills and a willingness to learn.
