Full job description

Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Full Time Garden Shop Assistant at our Lacock Garden Centre.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.

Garden Shop Assistant responsibilities;

· Receiving deliveries and managing customer orders

· Maintaining stock levels and replenshing of compost and gardening products, seasonal products, Christmas trees and Christmas lighting

· Creating inspiring displays to help sell products

· General shop maintenance and housekeeping

· Assisting customers with advice and carry products to car

· Maintaining and updating POS material in relevant areas and pricing stock correctly.

· Be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own

· Work in other departments of the garden centre if requested

This role will include some manual lifting. A forklift license is preferred or willingness to undertake a forklift test.
