Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Practice Manager to lead our financial operations and support our team of accounting professionals. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality accounting services, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive continuous improvement in financial management practices. Your leadership will empower the team to excel in managing client accounts, utilizing advanced accounting software, and delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting practice, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Oversee the use of various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial management tools to support accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on technical issues, professional development, and best practices in financial services.
Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions while maintaining strict accuracy standards.
Oversee financial accounting processes including ledger management, reconciliations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure satisfaction with our services.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current processes and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing an accounting practice or finance department within a professional services environment.
Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms.
In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams alike.
Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
