The Brand Experience Curator is responsible for curating, creating and delivering a distinctive programme of guest experiences and events at Meldrum House — from wellbeing sessions and guest speaker lunches to masterclasses and FB pop-up activations. Working three days a week, the role builds and runs a coherent seasonal events calendar that reflects the Meldrum House brand, brings new energy to the hotel's public spaces, and creates additional reasons for guests and locals to visit.
A central part of the role is building relationships with local brands, makers and practitioners across Aberdeenshire — sourcing the right partners for each event, negotiating terms, and ensuring every activation feels authentically connected to place rather than generic or off-the-shelf.
Events Curation Calendar Planning
- Build and maintain a rolling seasonal events calendar, balancing a mix of wellbeing, culinary, craft and cultural formats across the year.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the calendar, and pace events sensibly around the hotel's existing operational rhythm (weddings, golf, FB covers).
- Ensure each event has a clear purpose — whether driving incremental revenue, footfall, brand visibility, or guest loyalty — and is planned with that outcome in mind.
Event Formats
- Yoga and wellbeing sessions: source instructors, agree format and pricing, and manage logistics for regular or seasonal sessions.
- Guest speaker lunches: identify and approach speakers with local relevance or broader appeal, coordinate content and format, and manage FB tie-in.
- Masterclasses: curate hands-on sessions (culinary, craft, drinks or similar) with the right local practitioners, ensuring format and pricing suit the audience.
- FB pop-up activations: work with the FB team and external partners to bring pop-up concepts into the hotel's outlets or grounds for a defined run.
- Local Events: For example estate home owners, golf members, chamber of commerce and other business groups. Work with FB team and external partners to arrange seasonal activities such as ‘summer winter parties’ and themed events to build community and loyalty.
Sourcing Partner Liaison
- Build and maintain a pipeline of local brands, makers, practitioners, chefs and speakers suited to the Meldrum House brand.
- Lead outreach, negotiation and briefing for each partner, agreeing fees, format and logistics.
- Manage the day of delivery relationship with partners, ensuring a smooth experience for both partner and guest.
- Ensure all external partners follow and health and safety and compliance requirements as per wider AHG group policies. Working with AHG central compliance teams as required.
Commercial Delivery
- Cost and price each event with a clear view of margin, working within the Event PL framework.
- Track attendance, revenue and guest feedback per event, feeding learnings into future programming.
- Support pricing and packaging decisions, including ticketing, bundling with FB, or tie-ins with overnight stays where relevant.
- Manage ticket sales (working with the events office). Handle any guest special requests such as dietaries. Take payments and manage working with accounts support.
- Create and deliver clear event instructions and function sheets to other departments.
- Host events on the day as the Hotel representative.
Brand Communication
- Ensure all events are described and presented in a way that reflects the Meldrum House tone of voice and visual identity.
- Work with the marketing team on the go-to-market plan for each event — timing, channel and messaging.
- Represent Meldrum House professionally in all dealings with partners, practitioners and the local community.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with FB, operations and front-of-house teams to ensure events are properly resourced and run smoothly on the day.
- Coordinate with the wider Monogram Collective commercial and marketing team where useful, sharing partner contacts or formats across properties.
Essential
- Experience in events, hospitality, wellness, or brand/experience roles, ideally within a premium or lifestyle setting.
- A creative and pro-active can do mindset to introduce new ideas and partners – To help the hotel program stand out amongst the competition.
- A strong personal network or proven ability to build one quickly — comfortable approaching and negotiating with local brands and practitioners cold.
- Good commercial sense: able to cost, price and evaluate an event, not just organise it.
- Highly organised and self-directed, able to run a varied calendar independently across a three-day week.
- A clear sense of what fits the Meldrum House brand and what doesn't — taste and judgement as much as logistics.
- Confident written communication for event copy, partner briefs and guest-facing messaging.
Desirable
- Existing relationships with wellbeing practitioners, chefs, makers or speakers in North East Scotland.
- Experience running ticketed or paid events, including pricing and margin management.
- Interest in or familiarity with hospitality FB operations.
- A part-time, three-day role with genuine creative ownership of the hotel's events programme.
- The opportunity to shape a distinctive, locally rooted programme from the ground up.
- Collaboration with the wider Monogram Collective commercial and marketing team across three distinctive properties.
