An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Associate Dentist to join our established, high-performing mixed practice in Preston.

This role offers immediate earning potential with a stable NHS contract, strong private demand, and the benefit of the April 2026 NHS contract enhancements, all within a supportive, patient-focused environment.

April 2026 NHS Contract Enhancements, Significant Income Uplift

The recent NHS reforms reward dentists for managing higher-needs patients and leading team-based care.

You will benefit from:

Additional patient management top-up payments of up to £740 per eligible new NHS patient
£60 urgent care fee (previously £42)
Full UDA payment across multiple courses of treatment

Dentists retain the management top-up while appropriately delegating elements of care (such as periodontal treatment) to a therapist, allowing you to maximise clinical time while maintaining income.

For a proactive mixed associate, this can generate an estimated £5,000-£15,000+ additional NHS income annually, depending on patient flow and case mix.

Realistic Earnings Potential

Competitive UDA rate (discussed at interview)
45% private income
50% lab bills
Strong private demand within an established mixed model

A full-time mixed Associate Dentist combining NHS, urgent care, management top-ups and private treatment can realistically achieve approximately £120,000-£160,000+ gross annual income, depending on clinical mix and ambition.
