Reading – SIA Door Supervisor

We are currently recruiting SIA Door Supervisors to support quick service restaurant (QSR) venues across Reading. This is a great opportunity to join a reliable, friendly, and switched on team focused on creating safe and welcoming environments for both customers and staff.

Purpose of Role

To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and property by managing entry, monitoring behaviour, and responding to incidents in a professional and customer friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service at all times
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers and staff
Manage queues effectively to maintain a smooth and controlled flow of entry and exit
Monitor behaviour inside and outside the venue to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere
Enforce venue policies and procedures in line with licensing requirements
De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques
Respond to incidents professionally and in line with company procedures
Accurately record and report incidents where required
Work closely with venue management to ensure smooth day to day operations

Requirements

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
Previous customer service experience in a similar role (essential)
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent verbal communication skills
Professional attitude and appearance
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
5 year checkable employment or education history with references (BS7858 compliant)
Must be over 18 years of age
Must be able to independently commute to RG1 2AP

Further Information

A minimum hourly rate of £15.00 per hour (comprising a pay rate of £13.38 and indicative holiday pay of £1.62). Holiday pay is indicative as it is accrued at 12.07 percent for every hour worked. If you work at a different rate, the pay and holiday pay will adjust accordingly.

Job Type: Zero hours contract
Shift Pattern: Friday and Saturday 22:00pm to 03:30am (subject to change based on venue requirements)

Pay: £13.38 per hour

Work Location: In person
