Join us as a Financial Systems Strategy Senior Analyst within Barclays where you will help shape the future of banking by being responsible for defining and owning the financial crime systems strategy, with a particular focus on KYC and customer risk assessment models. Oversees the maintenance and effective operation of financial crime systems across the end to end customer lifecycle, managing multiple monitoring platforms, producing and analysing MI, and delivering data driven insights through advanced analytics, including the use of SAS.
To be successful as a Financial Systems Strategy Senior Analyst, you should have:
- Experience in a Financial crime / fraud prevention environment.
- Analytics tool experience such as, SAS, Python, SQL.
- Experience in identifying risk.
- Awareness of risk and controls environment.
- Stakeholder management experience.
- Risk management experience / awareness.

Purpose of the role
To support the Risk Function in delivering it’s objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.
Accountabilities
- Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
- Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
- Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.
- Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
