We're looking for an experienced, reliable Powder Coater who genuinely takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Stopem Ltd is a family-run manufacturer based in Brereton, Rugeley, specialising in high-quality Traffic Control and Parking Equipment supplied throughout the UK.

The Role

This is a hands-on role where preparation is just as important as the finished coating. You'll play a key role in ensuring every product leaving our facility meets the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare products for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking and chemical pre-treatment.
Set up and operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently.
Apply powder coatings to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
Inspect completed work, identifying and rectifying any defects where required.
Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Follow all health and safety procedures and company quality standards.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure production schedules are achieved.

What We're Looking For

Previous powder coating experience is essential.
Excellent attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
Positive attitude with a willingness to get involved and support the wider team.
Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Some of our products can be heavy, so this role involves regular manual handling. Applicants should be capable of safely lifting and moving products and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)

Friday: 7:00am – 12:45pm (15-minute unpaid break)

Pay & Benefits

£13.50 - £15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Full-time, permanent position.
