SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. A Fantastic Opportunity: Civils Lead

As a Civil Lead you will ensure all sites that require civil work are ready for the jointing team for arrival on site, following all correct company procedures. A jointing bay/track will be excavated allowing safe jointing activities to be carried out. This may include laying of correct cables. When jointing activities are completed, the excavations will need to be reinstated to a high, original standard. You will also be responsible for rectification of customer complaints relating to a civil nature.

You will ensure yourself and your Civils Mate deliver required outputs to a high standard, in accordance with all technical, safety and industry working practices. You will strive to deliver excellent customer service, and work to ensure all appointment obligations to the customer are kept.

The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who meet the following criteria:

Have proven working experience in a civil background, both excavations and reinstatements
Use of Cable Avoidance Tools
NRASWA
NPORS Operation (excavation)
Be an excellent written and verbal communicator to manage both internal and external relationships coupled with good numerical skills;
Minor building repair works
Abrasive Wheels
Experienced in safe use of plant and equipment
Be focussed on ensuring excellent customer service;
Be proficient in the use of IT equipment;
Experience in working as part of a team and on your own intuitive;
A UK driving licence is Essential
