Full job description

We are a reputable law firm with a strong focus on Family Law, committed to delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. We are seeking a motivated Family Paralegal with Legal Aid experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support solicitors with casework in publicly funded Family Law matters (legal aid).
Assist with client communication, file management, and court document preparation.
Draft applications, witness statements, and other legal documents.
Prepare and submit legal aid applications via CCMS.
Attend client meetings, court hearings, and take detailed notes where necessary.
Maintain accurate case records in line with compliance and confidentiality standards.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in Family Law (Legal Aid experience strongly preferred).
Good working knowledge of Legal Aid Agency processes and CCMS.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Completed LPC/SQE Stage 1 or equivalent legal training.
Experience working under supervision of a solicitor in a legal aid practice.
