Copywriter

Location: Chancery Lane, hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home/another location
Function: Brand Marketing
Salary/Grade: £46,500 - £50,500 dependant on skills and experiences + health + up to 15% bonus + 10% matched pension + bens
Contract Type: 12 Month FTC

Every year, millions of guests stay with Premier Inn. As we continue to evolve and improve our customer experience through our Accelerating Growth Plan (AGP), we're looking for a Copywriter to help shape how those changes are experienced and understood by guests. You'll sit at the heart of a major business transformation programme, helping teams make complex decisions through the lens of the customer.
Working across a wide range of guest journeys, you'll translate complex operational, digital and proposition changes into experiences and communications that are clear, intuitive and genuinely helpful. You'll often be the person asking, "What does this mean for the guest?" and helping stakeholders simplify complexity to create a better experience.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Property, F&B, Digital and Product teams, influencing decisions and shaping customer-facing journeys that will impact millions of guests every year.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making sense of complexity and helping others do the same. You'll be naturally curious, comfortable challenging assumptions and motivated by creating the best possible experience for customers.
You'll enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders, understanding different perspectives and influencing decisions through a customer-first lens. Success in this role comes from strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills as much as it does from copywriting itself.

What we're looking for:

Simplifying complex information into clear, intuitive customer experiences and communications.
Bringing a strong customer mindset, helping stakeholders understand the potential impact of decisions across the guest journey.
Working collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure messaging, experiences and journeys feel consistent and easy for guests to navigate.
Challenging constructively, asking the right questions and helping shape solutions that balance customer needs with business objectives.
Translating ambiguity into clarity, helping teams communicate change in a way that builds understanding and confidence.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Proven experience translating complex business, operational or customer propositions into clear, customer-focused communications.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to question, challenge and influence constructively at all levels of the organisation.
Experience working across multiple teams and disciplines to deliver joined-up customer experiences and communications.
Ability to understand complex customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve clarity and reduce customer friction.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer needs with operational and commercial objectives.
Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for clarity, consistency and detail.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change-focused environment.
