Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef or Cook to join our Bar Kitchen & Wimpy team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will manage daily operations, supervising kitchen and fast food staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a reputable hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food production
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines across all kitchen activities
Support training and development of junior staff members to enhance their culinary skills
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to coordinate service times and optimise customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in food presentation
Good communication skills to foster a positive team atmosphere
