Job Description

The main responsibilities for the ACM Machine Minder will include:

Oversee the input of chicken carcass across various modules of the ACM.
Ensure adjustments are made safely
Doing the required paperwork
Following procedures
Checking product quality

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.

In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.

You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat

You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position:

Attention to detail
Highly literate and Numerate
Flexible in approach to working and be able to prioritise tasks accordingly
Good standard of written and spoken English
Ability to respond calmly to unplanned events
Work well in a team
Work well in a pressurised environment and be committed to meeting targets/deadline
