Full job description

Caremark North Norfolk & Great Yarmouth is recruiting part-time Care Assistants across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding villages.

\*\*\*Immediate start available, with training taking place on 10th and 11th of August\*\*\*

We can also offer full-time hours if you are willing to cover a wider territory across Great Yarmouth and North Norfolk.

No previous care experience is required. We provide fully paid induction, shadowing and ongoing support before you begin visiting clients independently.

What you will receive

£14.00 per hour
Equivalent to £15.69 per hour including holiday pay
Paid travel time ( driving between clients )
£21.00 per hour on bank holidays
35p per mile mileage allowance
Support with repairs for vehicle damage caused while working
Guaranteed-hours contracts available

Care Certificate completed within your first 12 weeks
Funded Level 2 to Level 7 Health and Social Care qualifications
Opportunities to progress into Senior Care Assistant, Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator or Trainer roles

What you will be doing

You will support people to remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.

Your duties may include:

Helping clients get ready in the morning or settle for the evening
Supporting with washing, dressing and personal care
Assisting with mobility and continence care
Preparing meals and supporting with food and fluids
Providing companionship and emotional support
Supporting clients with outings, hobbies and activities
Completing light household duties
Recording accurate care notes
Reporting changes in a client’s health or wellbeing
Encouraging independence wherever possible

What we are looking for

You do not need previous care experience. We are looking for people who are:

Kind, dependable and genuinely passionate about helping others
Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
Able to communicate clearly with clients, families and colleagues
Willing to learn and follow individual care plans
Confident using a mobile phone and basic care-recording software

You must have:

A full UK driving licence
Access to your own vehicle
Good spoken and written English
