Duties
- Develop and maintain web applications utilizing PHP Laravel framework, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic using technologies like Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different software components.
- Optimize database design and queries for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to identify issues early and deliver reliable software solutions.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Utilize version control systems such as Git, GitHub, SVN, or TFS for efficient code management and collaboration.
- Implement security best practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to system architecture planning using UML diagrams and support microservices architecture where applicable.
- Write clean, well-documented code adhering to OOP principles within MVC frameworks like Laravel or ASP.NET <PERSON>.
Skills
- Proven experience in PHP development with a strong focus on the Laravel framework.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Angular), TypeScript, Bootstrap, AJAX, and UI/UX best practices.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development and consumption; familiarity with SOAP web services is a plus.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deployment and scaling of applications.
- Knowledge of server environments including Linux servers and IIS; experience with application deployment tools like Visual Studio is desirable.
- Strong grasp of software development methodologies including SDLC; experience with Agile practices is preferred.
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries using T-SQL or PL/SQL; understanding database design principles is essential.
- Experience with microservices architecture, WCF services, XML processing, XSLT transformations, and web services integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN for collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and debugging tools to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Exposure to scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell) or Shell Scripting for automation tasks is a plus.
