Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QA Engineer specialized in PHP and Laravel applications to join our innovative software development team. Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with project requirements and specifications.
- Execute various testing types including functional, system, performance, load, regression, user acceptance testing (UAT), and API testing to verify software quality across multiple platforms.
- Automate test cases using tools such as Selenium and TestNG to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to identify root causes of defects through thorough troubleshooting and debugging.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools to facilitate continuous integration and delivery workflows.
- Conduct system testing on diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, and cloud environments like AWS.
- Perform performance testing using LoadRunner or equivalent tools to evaluate system scalability under high load conditions.
- Review requirements gathering documents and participate in design reviews to ensure testability from the outset of development projects.
- Support release management by validating new features before deployment and ensuring smooth rollouts with minimal disruptions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software quality assurance for PHP-based web applications, especially those built with Laravel framework.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), QA methodologies, and best practices for testing automation.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for browser automation along with familiarity with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for test automation purposes.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, or SVN for managing code repositories.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies as well as traditional Waterfall models.
- Solid understanding of APIs (RESTful & SOAP), web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and related testing techniques.
- Knowledge of database systems including MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB; ability to perform data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL queries.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TFS for integrating automated tests into build pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying and testing applications in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities for requirements gathering and technical support roles.
- Technical expertise in system testing across various operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.

Pay: £150.00-£300.00 per day
