Full job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to manage a specific section of the kitchen and support the culinary team in delivering high-quality food consistently. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards while maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, larder, or hot line)
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and standards
Ensure consistency, portion control, and quality in all food production
Assist with mise en place and service preparation
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and junior team members
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness (HACCP compliant)
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Minimize waste and support cost control initiatives
Ensure equipment is used correctly and maintained properly
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Follow all company policies, health & safety, and food safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
Solid knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Team player with good communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Culinary qualification or relevant training preferred
