This is your opportunity to be at the heart of the digital transformation of a major UK university. We’re looking for a Web Developer to support the technical development of our external website, working as part of a team to deliver our audiences a sector-leading digital experience.
Main duties and responsibilities
Support the evolution of the University’s website, contributing to local architecture, performance and continuous improvement of our primary and supporting marketing platforms. This role blends technical expertise with creative problem-solving to turn complex stakeholder needs into seamless, secure, high-performing user experiences, while championing best practice and driving innovation across a 24/7 digital environment.
Skills and experience required
Candidates should demonstrate experience designing, optimising and evolving enterprise-level digital experience platforms (DXPs) or large-scale CMS environments, ideally in a complex organisational setting. You should have demonstrable experience hands-on expertise with modern front-end technologies (HTML/XHTML, JSON, CSS and JavaScript frameworks) and integrating these into scalable, maintainable architectures, as well as Solid understanding of performance optimisation, security best practice and governance within high-traffic, always-on digital platforms.
Qualifications required
Candidates should hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional experience in a relevant field.
