We're Hiring: Computer Science Teacher (Primary | Secondary | Edexcel iGCSE)

Part-time | Online | Small Classes (max. 10 students)
UK Virtual School is looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Computer Science Teacher to teach students across Years 1–11 (including Edexcel iGCSE) through engaging live online lessons.
Applicants must be available to attend staff induction during the final week of August 2026.
This role is ideal for a teacher who:
- Has strong experience teaching Computer Science to GCSE level
- Has taught in UK physical schools and online environments
- Is excited to design AI-focused short courses for students
- Can lead creative coding opportunities such as Unity, Game Design, or digital maker pathways
- Brings initiative and vision about what a modern Computer Science department should offer in a rapidly changing technological world

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science (or a closely related field)
- PGCE & QTS
- Experience teaching Computer Science up to GCSE level (Pearson Edexcel iGCSE preferred)
- Experience teaching A Level Computer Science (desirable but not required)
- Experience teaching students across primary and secondary phases
- Experience teaching in both physical and online school environments
- Valid Enhanced DBS
- Confident using Zoom and Google Workspace
- Contactable references
Preferred
- Experience teaching Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS, or JavaScript
- Experience delivering project-based or STEAM learning
- Experience creating asynchronous tutorials or screen-based teaching resources
