Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Experience Design Manager to lead the development of engaging, user-centred digital experiences. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end design process, from requirements gathering to usability testing, ensuring that our digital products meet user needs and business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of UX and UI principles, along with extensive experience in front-end development and data visualisation. The Experience Design Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and aesthetically compelling digital solutions across multiple platforms.

Duties

Lead the design and realisation of user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring adherence to best practices in UX and UI design.
Oversee the entire product development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial requirements gathering through wireframing, prototyping, user research, and user acceptance testing.
Utilise tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Zeplin, and Balsamiq to create wireframes, prototypes, and visual specifications.
Collaborate with developers to implement responsive web design using HTML, CSS (including SCSS), JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, Redux, Bootstrap, and other front-end technologies.
Conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions; utilise data analysis skills with SQL and Google Analytics for optimisation.
Develop information architecture strategies that enhance usability and accessibility across digital platforms.
Apply design patterns and interaction design principles to create engaging user experiences that are consistent across all touchpoints.
Manage usability testing processes including user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate designs against business requirements.
Coordinate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into innovative digital solutions aligned with current trends in digital design.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as AWS, Unreal Engine, Unity, SharePoint, APIs, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and other relevant tools to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in front-end development with expertise in HTML, CSS (including Less/SCSS), JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), and related technologies.
Strong portfolio demonstrating successful delivery of complex UX/UI projects across web and mobile platforms.
Extensive knowledge of SDLC methodologies and experience managing all phases of product development lifecycle.
Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Zeplin; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
Demonstrable skills in data visualisation tools and techniques; experience with SQL databases is desirable.
Excellent understanding of usability principles, information architecture optimisation, responsive web design standards, and accessibility guidelines.
Ability to conduct thorough user research using tools like Qualtrics or similar platforms; analyse findings to inform design strategies.
Strong analysis skills combined with the ability to interpret complex data sets for actionable insights.
Experience working within Agile environments using Jira or similar project management tools.
Knowledge of APIs integration as well as familiarity with business requirements documentation is preferred.
Relevant qualifications in UX/UI design or related fields are highly desirable.
