About the role
We're looking for a React Developer to help build and maintain modern, responsive web applications. This is an opportunity to work on user-facing products end to end from component design through to deployment in a collaborative engineering team.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain web application interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Translate designs and wireframes into clean, reusable, accessible components.
- Integrate front-end code with REST APIs and back-end services.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and take part in code reviews.
- Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product stakeholders to deliver features.
- Help diagnose and fix bugs, and contribute to improving performance and reliability.
- Keep up with the latest features and suggest improvements to tooling and practices.
Essential skills and experience
- Solid commercial or substantial project experience with React
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals.
- PostgreSQL or other open-source databases
- AI
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Understanding of consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code and communicate well within a team.
- Strong security best practices
Desirable skills
- Testing frameworks
- Styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS, styled-components, or CSS Modules.
- Build tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with a back-end stack and/or cloud platforms - AWS & OCI
- An eye for UI/UX and accessibility (WCAG).
- Mentoring or coaching junior developers

Pay: £30,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
