HIRING: BAC RECRUITING DESIGN INTERN (BESPOKE & CREATIVE)
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Design Intern to join our Design Department for a 12-month placement. This role offers an engaging, hands-on experience at the heart of our Liverpool innovation facility, working on some of the most exclusive bespoke vehicle programmes in the world.
We are looking for either Graphic Design specialists or Industrial Designers with a strong instinct for graphics, branding, and visual identity. At BAC, "Bespoke" is at the core of what we do. You will be directly involved in helping clients realise their dream specifications, while also having the opportunity to influence broader aspects of BAC design, including vehicle interiors, technical apparel, and lifestyle merchandise.
This internship represents an exceptional chance to gain practical knowledge, build an extraordinary portfolio, and contribute to innovative projects within a tight-knit team of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Bespoke Client Schemes: Assist in creating bespoke exterior livery and paint schemes for client cars, translating their vision into high-quality visual renders.
- Aero-Apparel & Driver Wear: Design custom helmet graphics, racesuit schemes, and team wear that align with both client preferences and BAC's brand identity.
- Industrial & Interior Design: (For Industrial Design profiles) Contribute to cabin interior layouts, material selections, and physical trim components.
- Brand & Apparel Design: Assist in the development of BAC lifestyle clothing, merchandise, and broader brand collateral.
- Visualisations & Renders: Generate high-quality 2D and 3D visual assets, digital renders, and presentation decks to support the design team and client consultations.
- Ad-hoc Assignments: Undertake additional creative and administrative duties as required to support the design team and broader studio operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or closely related degree programme (ideally seeking a sandwich-year/industrial placement).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a keen eye for proportion, colour, graphics, and layout.
- For Graphic Specialists: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- For Industrial Designers: Solid foundation in 3D CAD/surfacing software (NX X preferred but not essential) and rendering packages (Vred preferred but not essential) alongside graphic capabilities.
- An innate understanding of premium brand aesthetics, automotive culture, and lifestyle design.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present design concepts and ideas.
- An adaptable, proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.
