Role purpose
NODA is seeking an organised and creative Marketing & Membership Assistant to support our marketing activity, website and social media presence, membership services, and PantoScripts licencing. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with a strong interest in theatre who enjoys both creative content work and administrative coordination.
Key responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in creating social media, print and other online materials at a national and regional level.
- Manage social media pages by posting updates and responding to comments and messages.
- Use a social media content calendar to plan and organise posts.
- Generate NODA-branded content, drawing on Adobe Creative Cloud software.
- Research and gather content from NODA groups to feature in social media posts.
- Organise NODA Today magazine images sourced from groups’ show photos.
- Assist the current President with managing posts on the NODA President page.
- Assist in maintaining the NODA and PantoScripts websites.
- Use website analytics to assess the effectiveness of ongoing campaigns and understand user behaviour on the site.
- Prepare and deliver promotional presentations.
- Support Summer School marketing alongside the Summer School team, including attending Summer School to create content.
Membership Services
- Onboard new members.
- Process renewal payments at renewal time.
- Handle member queries by telephone and email.
- Track, order and fulfil Long Service awards, including liaising with suppliers.
- Support the membership services department, including answering customer queries and handling award and pantomime sales.
PantoScripts
- Support the current ongoing script project: rebranding and uploading scripts.
- Engage with current authors.
- Manage back-end CRM processes, including uploading and adding new authors alongside royalties.
- Track new licences.
- Support marketing of PantoScripts.
General
Undertake additional tasks to meet project-based objectives, as well as general office tasks as required.
Person specification
Essential
- Proven organisational skills.
- Proven communication skills, including confident telephone and email handling.
- Good time management skills.
- Works well as part of an effective team.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software, including strong use of Excel and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proven ability to deliver creative elements of projects on brief and on.
- Interest in theatre.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.
Desirable
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and CMS systems.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or video editing (e.g. Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- An interest in or knowledge of amateur theatre.
- Experience working within a charity, membership organisation, or arts sector context.

NODA operates a company pension. If eligable, you will be automatically enrolled in this scheme. NODA will make a maximum contribution of 5%.

Contract
12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming a permanent full-time position at the end of the contract, subject to organisational needs, funding and satisfactory performance.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
