Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Public Relations Officer to elevate our organization’s public image and foster strong relationships with our community, media, and stakeholders. In this role, you will craft compelling narratives, manage media interactions, and develop strategic communication initiatives that highlight our mission and achievements. Your energetic approach will help us build brand awareness, enhance reputation, and engage audiences across diverse platforms. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence public perception and contribute to our organization’s growth.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Craft engaging press releases, media statements, speeches, and social media content that effectively communicate key messages.
Build and maintain positive relationships with journalists, media outlets, community leaders, and partners to secure coverage and collaboration opportunities.
Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to inform communication tactics and address any issues proactively.
Organize press conferences, community events, and outreach programs to promote organizational initiatives.
Manage crisis communication efforts swiftly and transparently to protect the organization’s reputation.
Track and evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns through analytics and feedback to continuously improve outreach efforts.

Skills

Proven experience in public relations or strategic communication roles with a strong understanding of media relations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive messages.
Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and media monitoring software.
Creative thinking with a proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities for positive publicity.
Familiarity with crisis management protocols and ethical standards in public relations.
