Job Summary:
Join the festive magic as a Christmas Elf performer at Alnwick's Christmas! We are looking for energetic, professional performers who can bring the festive spirit to life for families visiting Father Christmas throughout November and December.
As a Christmas Elf you must be a good time keeper, happy and able to work outdoors, and a confident entertainer for children and families at this magical time of year. Your job will be to engage with visitors and create memorable experiences for people of all ages, whilst also organising the event alongside your team.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Character performance: Portray a lively and friendly Christmas Elf, interacting with guests in character at all times.
- Guest interaction: Greet visitors, take photos, and engage with children and families in a positive, festive manner.
- Event organisation: Assist with crowd management, monitoring timings, and ensuring a smooth experience for all visitors.
- Event support: Help with the daily setup and and breakdown of the event, ensuring the area remains clean and organised throughout the day.
- Team effort: Work closely with other elves and Father Christmas to create a cohesive and magical environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Performance skills: Previous experience in acting, performing, or entertaining, especially in character roles, is highly desirable, although not essential for someone with the right attitude and personality.
- Personal skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences in a cheerful and approachable manner.
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and perform outdoors for extended periods, in costume and in various weather conditions.
Job Details:
- Competitive wage of up to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience).
- Weekend & evening work is essential
- Shift length varies between 5-11 hours
- Alnwick town centre
