Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker/Cake Decorator to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and creating visually stunning cakes and desserts that delight our customers. The Role
You’ll be involved in the day-to-day production of our cakes and desserts, from preparing and baking cakes through to decorating and finishing customer orders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and baking cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods to our recipes and standards.
- Preparing cakes for decorating, including levelling, filling, stacking and covering.
- Decorating celebration cakes to a high standard, following customer designs and our signature style.
- Working with buttercream, ganache, fondant and other decorating techniques.
- Creating decorations and finishing details by hand.
- Helping with preparation, stock rotation and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
- Ensuring all products are consistently high quality and presented beautifully.
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and allergen procedures.
- Working efficiently to meet customer deadlines, particularly during busy periods.
- Contributing ideas and creativity to new designs, flavours and products.

- Happy to get stuck into all aspects of the job, from baking and decorating to cleaning and preparation.
- Friendly and professional when working with the team and handling customer orders.
Experience
Previous professional baking or cake decorating experience is preferred, but we’re happy to consider applicants with strong home-baking experience and a genuine passion for developing their skills.
Experience with baking, buttercream piping, cake decorating and working with fondant would be a bonus.
We’re looking for someone creative, reliable, keen to learn and passionate about making great cakes.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
