Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Adult Mental Health Inpatient and Learning Disabilities Service. We are looking for a strong team player that will be able to support these services on a part-time basis.

The post holder will need to demonstrate organisational, planning and time management skills, and who can work well under pressure and to tight timescales. You will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, high quality business performance and planning processes.

The post holder will be using data to identify areas requiring support to meet Welsh Government targets and developing data capture systems where needed. You will need to be able to demonstrate advanced digital skills with a good experience of working with databases, spreadsheets and other software.

The post holder will develop strong links with service business partners, particularly Finance, with regards to expenditure, budgets and staff in post monitoring, including supporting each service with the recruitment process.

To set up and maintain core databases/spreadsheets appropriate to the service and report from such systems levels of compliance within areas such as mandatory training/PDR and other workforce requirements.

To contribute to the development and implementation of the service operational plan and agreed service developments in line with the Directorate Strategic Framework.

Develops and implements business systems reflecting service changes and clinical imperatives, ensuring these link and compliment systems within the wider Directorate business function.

To ensure that information and documentation is provided in a timely fashion and readily available for meetings and discussions, including preparing reports, agendas, minutes, statistics and other similar documents.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.

We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.

We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.

Our services are provided in:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary provider
Numerous mental health and learning disabilities providers
