We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver with a Crane Hook Attachment Licence to join our transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver to play a key role in delivering our products safely, efficiently, and on time while providing outstanding customer service.
Working closely with the Transport Team and depot colleagues, you will be responsible for completing daily multi-drop deliveries, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
What You'll Do:
- Complete daily multi-drop deliveries, Monday to Friday.
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle fitted with a crane (hook attachment).
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and loaded in the correct order for scheduled deliveries.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks, ensuring your vehicle remains roadworthy.
- Deliver and off-load materials safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
- Maintain a good understanding of the depot's operational requirements, including Group Health & Safety standards.
- Obtain customer signatures for all deliveries and return completed Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork to the Transport Team.
- Follow depot procedures for returned goods.
- Drive other classes of company vehicles where appropriately licensed and required.
- Work with the Transport Team to ensure routes and vehicle utilisation are fully optimised.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining company standards at every customer site.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Crane Hook Attachment Licence (essential).
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience (preferred).
- Builders' merchant or timber industry experience (preferred).
- Flexible approach with the ability to respond to changing customer delivery requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional manner.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
- Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with company procedures.
